Wi-Fi Access

Complimentary wireless internet access is available through the library. Customers may access our network by connecting to AHML-A or AHML-K in Kids' World. We also circulate Wi-Fi hotspots for access outside the library. By using our Wi-Fi, you agree to the terms of our Internet Access Policy.


Our 45 public computers are located behind the Tech Learning Center Desk on the first floor of the library and are equipped with Windows 10, the Microsoft Office Suite, Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Two iMacs are also available. Use a computer with your library card or sign up for a computer use card. Computers with filtered internet access are available to children in Kids' World.

Laptops and iPads

Arlington Heights cardholders may check out a laptop or iPad at our Tech Learning Center Desk. Laptops and iPads are available for use within the library for two hours with extensions.

Flash Drives and Discs

Flash drives and DVDs are available for purchase at the Checkout Desk. Sales tax is charged upon purchase.

  • DVD-Rs - 75¢ each

Printing and Copying

Printers and copiers are available in our Public Computer Lab and Business Center. Send jobs to them remotely with our wireless printing service.

  • 5¢/black & white legal or letter page, 10¢/ledger page
  • 40¢/color legal or letter page, 80¢/ledger page

Veteran library card holders may print up to the cost equivalent of 100 black and white letter pages per week at no charge.

Scanning and Faxing

Use our Simple Scan Stations to send documents by fax or email or save them to a flash drive or Google Docs. Documents and photos can be scanned into a PDF, JPEG, TIFF or Word document. Additional scanners are available in the Studio.

The Studio

The Studio is a do-it-yourself space with equipment, software and learning resources for you to get creative with video, music, graphic design and more. The Studio is funded by the Friends of the Library.
